What happens in your browser
The dividend calculator runs on your device. Its share-count input is not saved or transmitted by our application. If you choose “Save stock”, a list of page identifiers is stored in your browser’s local storage. It is not uploaded or used for advertising. You can remove individual stocks or clear the list on the Saved stocks page.
Google Analytics 4 is optional and loads on canadayield.com only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not affect access to dividend information. Your choice is remembered in local browser storage; if storage is unavailable, it applies only to the current page. Local development and preview hosts do not load the tag. Advertising cookies, third-party fonts and social-media widgets are not enabled.
If allowed, Google receives page paths, browser/device information and analytics identifiers and sets first-party analytics cookies, including _ga cookies. Network requests also disclose an IP address to Google for processing; this is not a promise of anonymity. Google may process information outside Canada. Our tag configuration removes query strings and fragments from the page URL and referrer, disables Google signals and advertising personalization, and does not intentionally send calculator inputs or saved-stock lists.
Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer and choose “Decline analytics” to withdraw permission. This stops future collection by this integration and removes accessible Analytics cookies on this domain, but does not delete information already received by Google. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep Analytics off. Google Analytics retention settings must be reviewed in the associated property; we do not promise an unverified retention period.
Requests, hosting and external links
A hosting provider necessarily processes technical request information such as IP addresses and request times to deliver and protect a website. The production configuration is prepared for Cloudflare Workers; optional Worker observability is disabled in the supplied configuration. Providers may process information outside Canada.
Opening an SEC, CRA or other external link takes you to that organisation’s service and privacy practices. A source link is not an embedded tracking widget. Our application does not send calculator inputs or your saved-stock list with those links.
Email and your choices
If you email us, your address and message will be processed to respond or investigate the issue. Do not include account numbers, tax identifiers or sensitive financial documents. An inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
You may request access to or correction of personal information you have provided, ask about retention, or raise a privacy concern at contact@canadayield.com. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on the circumstances. We may need proportionate verification to avoid disclosing information to the wrong person.
Retention and service changes
The site has no user-account database or marketing subscriber list. Inquiry correspondence and provider security records should be retained only as needed for their purpose and any applicable obligations. Provider retention settings and mailbox practices must be assessed as part of operating the service.
Before advertising or additional personal-data features are introduced, we will describe their purposes and providers and implement appropriate choices. Optional Analytics remains off until an affirmative choice; declining it will not remove access to the dividend information.
