Know what goes into the number.

Our method starts with source facts and keeps uncertainty visible. A complete-looking table is less useful than an honest explanation of what is and is not established.

Identity and publication

Company records, share-class securities and trading-venue observations are separate. The website uses a reviewed mapping of security keys to stable page addresses. Only verified common-share or REIT identities with collected dividend events enter this initial stock collection.

A venue observation is not proof of current active listing, the primary exchange or Canadian incorporation. New collector candidates do not automatically become published pages.

Dividend events and dates

The event identity combines the security, stated payment date, currency and kind. We show cancellations as cancellations and exclude them from active estimates. More than one trading venue does not create an extra dividend.

Announcement dates come from the source where available. Filing receipt dates, payment terms and collection timestamps remain distinct. “On or after” retains its lower-bound meaning. Passing a scheduled date does not change a declared event into a verified payment.

Calculations and precision

The calculator multiplies the reported per-share amount by your share count using decimal integer arithmetic. Only the final gross estimate is rounded, half-up, to two decimal places. The estimate excludes withholding, taxes, foreign exchange, fees and broker-specific fractional-share rules.

The archive is not certified as complete or split-adjusted. We therefore do not calculate a dividend yield, continuous growth streak or annual recurring-income estimate from these observations.

Selected financial facts

The initial financial panel shows up to four recent reported periods per supported assets or cash tag, taxonomy and currency. Only point-in-time values with no period start are selected. The latest filing for the same period is used; equally recent conflicting values are withheld.

IFRS and US GAAP tags remain labelled. These facts are context, not complete financial statements, a payout-ratio calculation or a dividend-safety assessment.

Refresh and availability

Live mode reads the database through a SELECT-only account and caches a response briefly. Snapshot mode uses a dated export of the same public fields and labels it explicitly. A live connection failure returns an unavailable response rather than silently changing to an old snapshot.

Collection time is not a market price timestamp or proof that the collector has completed all periods. Check the coverage page alongside the individual source.
